Deborah West Coon

Positive, contemporary, inspirational artist

Deborah West Coon was born in Mesa, Arizona. While she was still quite young, Debbie’s aunts, accomplished songwriters, Mildred West Wiseman and Wanda West Palmer, wrote songs, plays, and did fireside programs. Debbie was a featured vocalist on Mildred West Wisemans album: Holy Child. Having learned so much from these amazing women about how music can touch the soul, Debbie is dedicated to carrying their work forward.

In 2002 Debbie sang in Jerusalem on live television with Lex De Azevedo’s Hosanna Choirs. In 2005 she performed for Gwen Nichols and Mildred West Wiseman in their concert presentation of Someone Is Waiting, about Adoption, A Loving Option, and is a featured soloist on the Someone Is Waiting album.

As a mother of five children and an additional 4 grandchildren, Debbie has been a member of American Mothers of Arizona for many years. Debbie says,“As mothers together I know we can make a difference in our communities.”
